Louisiana is the Incarceration Capital of the known world. Mass incarceration has torn apart families and undermined communities and has not made us safer. What role can and should judges play in ending mass incarceration AND keeping communities safe for everyone?

Primary elections for Orleans Parish Criminal District Judge and Orleans Parish Civil District Judge are scheduled for Saturday, March 25, 2023. Formal qualifying for this election is scheduled for January 25-27, 2023. The Gillespie-Senter Memorial Community Breakfast will not be making a formal endorsement of any candidates within any election.

March 25th is also the scheduled run-off election for any qualifying candidates for the special Louisiana State House Legislative seat in District 93. Its primary election is scheduled for Saturday February 18, 2023, and District 93 is located within Orleans Parish.
