Every two years the Jesuit Social Research Institute at Loyola University New Orleans publishes the JustSouth Index,
a report that measures and compares states’ performance on nine
quantitative indicators that fall under three dimensions: poverty,
racial disparity and immigrant exclusion.
The lead researcher for the report, JSRI Fellow Dr. Dennis Kalob,
will discuss major findings from the 2019 JustSouth Index and how
Louisiana compares to other states on important indicators of social
justice.
