The Gillespie-Senter Memorial Community Breakfast has been a

the First Unitarian Universalist Church Social
Justice Team since May 1983
The Jesuit Social
Research Institute at Loyola University (JSRI) just published a social
indicators report comparing the 50 states on measures of racial, economic, and
immigrant justice. Guess which state came in last? (Hint: you're living in that
state now).

Economic Policy Specialist Dennis Kalob, Ph.D.
comes to JSRI with over 30 years of experience as a sociologist, educator and
social justice activist. He holds a B.A. from Loyola University New Orleans, an
M.A. from Boston College, and a Ph.D. from the Union Institute. He has been on
the faculty –and sometimes working in administrative capacities—at Loyola New
Orleans, New England College and Manhattan College before returning here to
Loyola and joining the JSRI staff in October of 2018. Dennis specializes in
issues pertaining to social inequality, health care, political economy, social
action, and public policy.
