Louisiana is the incarceration capital of the world. In the
legislative session that began April 10 the Louisiana Legislature will be

system. Ms. Maturn will discuss how certain proposed bills could lower
Louisiana's rate of incarnation and how informed citizens need to make their
voices heard to ensure real reform.
